Tour of Hambledon Cottage, Parramatta – Wednesday 9 August 2023

Built by John Macarthur in 1824, Hambledon Cottage was home to the Macarthurs’ governess, Penelope Lucas until her death. The house is furnished in the mid 1800s colonial style.

Morning tea of scones, jam and cream will precede our tour of the house. Lunch will be at the Albion Hotel afterwards.

Numbers: A minimum of 15 is required for the tour to proceed.

Cost: $16 per person for the tour and morning tea of scones, jam and cream.
Transport and lunch at Albion Hotel at own expense.

Where: Corner Gregory Place and Hassall Street, Harris Park.

Please be at Cabarita Wharf by 9:45am to catch the 9.49am Rivercat to Parramatta, arriving at 10.33am. It is an easy 15 minute walk along the riverbank from the Parramatta Wharf to Hambledon Cottage.
After the tour we will walk to the Albion Hotel, George Street (7 mins). It is then another 7 minutes to the ferry wharf.
Car parking is available on site for those who prefer to drive.
