Photography Group – Heritage Walk in Balmain – Tuesday 20 September

Join the Photography group for a heritage walk around Balmain to discover its early settlement and industrial history.  We will have an initial coffee stop at Circular Quay and then lunch at the Royal Oak Hotel in Balmain. The walk is about 8 kilometres long and will take about 2½ hours.

Please note that we will be walking on suburban streets that are at times steep with uneven surfaces, and there are a number of stairs to be navigated. Once we begin there will be little chance for sitting down and resting.

Where:  Meet at Cabarita Wharf to catch the 8:53am ferry to Circular Quay.  It gets into Circular Quay at 9:35am where we will have a quick coffee before catching the ferry to Balmain.

When: Tuesday 20 September

Restrictions: Numbers will be limited to 20 so please indicate your interest to the convener as soon as possible to avoid missing out.

Getting there: Travel from Cabarita Wharf on the 8:53am ferry to Circular Quay, then the 9:57am Ferry to Balmain East. We will return after lunch by the same route.

Cost: Coffee lunch and transport at your individual cost.

Who is the Convener: Contact Colin Peterson via the online booking form.
Please indicate whether you are staying for lunch in the message box so reservations can be made in advance.
