Heritage tour of Sydney's General Post Office
On 8 April, fifteen of our club’s members toured the old general post office. The tour was well organised and our very professional and informative guide, Oscar, gave us a very interesting history lesson before we commenced and as we wandered around.
The tour took two hours and consisted of an internal tour of the building and an external tour where we walked around the outside of the building. Oscar pointed out so much; we’ll never be able to wander by again without looking up at all the stone carvings and knowing the stories behind them.
It’s a majestic building and the modern facilities of the Fullerton Hotel blend brilliantly.
