15 intrepid members of the dining out group braved the inclement weather for a banquet at
Lunas, a Portuguese restaurant in Petersham.
Between the time this was organised and our lunch the restaurant had been featured on the Sydney Weekender and in the Sydney Morning Herald food section.
We started with a selection of entrees: Prawn Rissios, Bachalau croquettes (better than we had in
Portugal last year) and Sardines on toast which were all delicious. This was followed by the main
course of Swordfish with black eyed beans and quails eggs and Piri Piri Spatchcock (not too spicy).
They were generous serves and accompanied by Portuguese spiced chips, rice and a fresh Green leaf
salad. No one was going hungry and we still had to leave room for dessert!
After a short break we had to wade through a large serve of Crème Caramel and Molotof (a soft meringue).
Everybody had a great time and would recommend anyone to go there for a lunch or dinner.
