Travel Chat – Wednesday 8 May 2024

At the next Travel Chat we take a look at the small and yet spectacular Switzerland from two perspectives – visiting as tourist and living there as a resident.

First up, Anne Symons travelled around Switzerland for three weeks setting her own independent itinerary. Find out how she planned her journey, moving from place to place by rail and public transport utilising the Swiss Rail Pass. Anne shares her tips for keeping costs down as well as some amazing scenery and cultural experiences not to be missed.

Then we hear from Becky Nursey who lived for two years in Grandvaux, located between Lausanne and Montreux. From the perspective of a resident, she shares the delights and challenges of living on Lake Geneva. Hear about the house and suburb in which she lived, the culture shock of living overseas, the languages spoken in the region, getting around, shopping, food, how the school system works, and -of course- the amazing places her family experienced.

So come along to the next Travel Chat on Wednesday 8 May, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm in the Breakfast Point Admin Building at 2-4 Magnolia Drive, Breakfast Point.
