The Spit to Manly walkway is one of Sydney’s iconic walks passing sandy beaches, coastal bushland and spectacular viewpoints. Starting at the Spit bridge and making its way to the Manly Corso.
The walk will finish at the Ivanhoe Hotel on The Corso. The Ivanhoe has a good lunch menu in the upstairs bistro for those who wish to stay.
Where: Starts at Manly Wharf
Time: 10:00 am. Meet at Manly Wharf.
Getting There: Public Transport Public is the preferred option.
Step 1. Ferry or train to Circular Quay
Step 2. Ferry to Manly (9.20 am- 9.30 am)
Step 3. Bus 144 Manly Wharf, Belgrave St (Stand G) to Avona Crescent. Alight at Manly Rd Seaforth (8 minute bus trip)
Getting Back: Manly Ferry back to the Quay – Ferry or train
Access/fitness: The Spit to Manly Walk is a 10.3 km point to point walk, moderate/hard difficulty.
Duration: Average 2 hours 30 Minutes. Allow around 3 hours as we plan to stop for coffee at Clontarf Reserve (about 15 minutes into the walk) plus extra time for catch up and regrouping stops.
