Join the Photogroup outing to the Everglades in Leura.
A self drive or car pool to visit the Everglades House and Gardens a National Trust Property. The House is an Art Deco House built by the Van der Velde family with gardens designed by Paul Sorenson. It overlooks the Jamison Valley and views to Mount Solitary.
Where: The House is in Leura but is fair walk from the township so driving is necessary.
Access/fitness: There are a few stairs in the terraced gardens but they are well maintained. Parking is in the street outside.
When: Wednesday 22 November.
Time: We will meet at Cafe Leura (corner of Megalong st and the Leura Mall) at 10:30 am for coffee before proceeding to the house (10 minute drive).
Cost: Entry to the house and gardens is $15 for seniors and free to national trust members. This is paid at the house.
There are two options for lunch; bring a picnic and we can sit in one of the many parks overlooking the valley or you could find a Cafe in Leura.
