The next Travel Chat on Wednesday 8 June will be exploring the interesting country town of Cowra.
Judy Mitchell recently organised a trip to Cowra and those Probus members who went on tour are keen to share their enjoyment of Cowra and its many tourist attractions.
You will hear their first hand experience of the famous Japanese Gardens. Hear about The Age of Fishes Museum in Canowindra. Look at Eugowra – the Town made famous for its Murals. View the Japanese Prisoner of War site and cemetery. Learn the history of Cowra during World War II when it served as a prisoner of war camp for the Japanese and Italians.
I know many people missed out on the trip to Cowra, so this is easy way to “travel about” about this country town. Also find out which places to stop in for a tasty meal in a historic house and pubs.
So come along on Wed 8 June, starting at 11:00 am in the Breakfast Point Admin Building.
