Interest is being sought for two new (possible) Interest Groups – Art Appreciation and Backgammon

The recent Survey completed by members revealed there are culture buffs amongst us!!

In particular, interest is being sought for two new Interest Groups.

• ART APPRECIATION

Art Appreciation will take us to galleries, museums, theatre and more.

To see if the group is viable we need to know who is interested.

• BACKGAMMON  

This is a call out for anyone interested in playing or learning to play.  We have experienced players who are happy to teach.  So if you fancy trying your hand at the ancient game, please let me know.

The earliest record of the basic gameplay rules of modern backgammon dates from 17th century England though versions of the game have been played for 5000 years.

Backgammon boards are hard to come by so, it would be great if you check the bottom of your cupboard to see if you have a board that you are happy to lend.
