Highlights of Cockatoo Island Tour – Tuesday 17 February 2026

The Outing:

February’s Photo group outing is a visit to Cockatoo Island.

Join a public tour to explore the Island and its history (taking pictures along the way).

Where:

Cockatoo Island.

Number restriction:

Limited to 30 people (by the Sydney Harbour Trust).

Important Information:

This is a public walking tour. Members need to book tickets online before attending as tickets may not be available on the day. There is a maximum group number of 30, and we may not be able to get all those spaces.

Getting there:

Travel on the 9.22 am Ferry from Cabarita to arrive in time for a coffee before the tour starts. The tour is about one hour.

Getting back:

Have lunch at the cafe or bring a picnic lunch before catching the Ferry back to Cabarita.

Cost:

$20.00 per person at time of booking online. Click on the website under “More Info”. The convener is not collecting money or booking for others.

Access/fitness:

Some steps and inclines. The tour will cover about 4 kilometers. Sensible shoes and sun protection is recommended.
