Harbour Walk – Newington Armory and Urban Surf
Note that this outing has been postponed from the original 20 August date to 17 September as the Urban Surf facility is closing for maintenance work.
The Newington Armory Walk is a 7km flat loop walk, starting and finishing at the Sydney Olympic Ferry Wharf.
The route follows the nature walk inland to the top of Woo-La-Ra to observe 360-degree views of Sydney Olympic Park, and the Parramatta and Sydney skylines.
We will continue to the amazing Urban Surf for coffee and possibly a surfing demonstration as we have been given free entry thanks to Snr Vice President Neale (Surfer), a member of the park.

Afterwards, we will walk back via the Armory along the river, learning something of its intriguing history. I will make some recommendations for lunch for those wishing to stay, before catching the ferry home. This is a lovely walk right in our backyard.
There are toilet stops along the way. The weather can be cool so wear a jacket and bring a water bottle.
