Travel Chat – Wednesday 13 March 2024

Preparing for your Holidays.

Ways to maximise happy moments and minimise those hiccups.

Travelling can produce happy and memorable moments, but when things go amiss, we can find ourselves well out of our comfort zone. At our next Travel Chat meeting, we will be discussing both our happy moments and the troubles which have happened to us along the way.

Planning and research are key to navigating our way around those worrying situations, ensuring that we maximise the positive rewards of our travel experience. What do you include in your itinerary? What are essential items to bring? Do you pack them in your carry-on or checked-in luggage? We want to hear about some of your strategies.

We will explore several scenarios where things go wrong, because even the best of plans cannot completely eliminate the unexpected – your luggage is lost, you are pick-pocketed, your flight or hotel accommodation is cancelled, or maybe you become injured or fall sick. Share with us your personal experiences of travel woes. What did you do? What could have been a more suitable response? We can all learn from each other becoming better prepared should the same difficulties occur to us.

Feel free to email any photos or to bring a souvenir of your happy or crazy moments. Get ready to share your travel tales and help us to become better travellers.

See you next Wednesday 13 March at Breakfast Point Admin Building, 2-4 Magnolia Drive, Breakfast Point between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm.

Contact your Convener if you have any questions for the meeting.
