East Canada and West Australia
At our next Travel Chat meeting we will look at two large Commonwealth countries – Canada and Australia. Both have relatively small populations for their large land masses, and they are equally blessed with much scenic beauty, along with pleasant and easy-going people.
First up, Karin Canty provides an in-depth commentary about the overseas tour to Eastern Canada that is planned for Probus members in September next year. Much thought and careful planning has gone into this curated itinerary, timed to experience the celebrated red, yellow and vibrant orange leaves of Fall in the abundant East Coast forests.
The tour includes stays in the cities of Montreal, Quebec and Edmonton, before exploring the rugged and scenic eastern seaboard regions of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island, home to Anne of Green Gables. Not to be missed, the Bay of Fundy is renowned for the highest and lowest tides in the world, making it a most spectacular natural wonder.
