Walk the 5km Bondi Coastal Walk to capture inspiring artworks set against the backdrop of Sydney’s iconic coastline. Swap experiences during lunch in Bondi before returning home.
When:

Getting there:
Meet at Strathfield station platform 5 to catch the 9:24am train as far as Town Hall. Note that if Burwood is your closest station, the train departs platform 3 at 9:26am. Join the rest of the group on the platform arriving at Town Hall station.
At Town Hall we change trains for Bondi Junction, and then catch the 379 bus to Bronte (stand K) alighting at Waverley.
After a reviving coffee we join the Coastal Walk via Waverley Cemetery.
Duration/fitness:
The walk is approximately 4-5km long depending on how many detours you take to view individual sculptures.
There are a number of steps and some undulations, but it is a well-made path and there are places to sit and rest for a few minutes. The path can be crowded during the event – particularly around the sculptures – and there is little shade, so a hat and water bottle are advised.
Getting back:
After a lunch in Bondi, we catch the bus back to Bondi Junction then trains back to either Burwood or Strathfield station.
