We have all heard of a Movable Feast. Well now is your chance to be part of one! Our well laid plans for Xmas in July celebrations have been scuttled by COVID-19 lockdowns and restrictions. Ever optimistic, your Probus friends have set a date in October for the dinner and it is now known as The Freedom Dinner. Please see details below:
New Date: Wednesday 27th October, 2021.
Time: 6:00pm for pre-dinner drinks.
Venue: Breakfast Point Country Club – Village Drive Breakfast Point
Cost: $60 per person. Payment details HERE. Please include the Outing code “Dinner” when paying. NOTE: If the new date is problematic and you require a refund, please notify the Convener and contact the Treasurer with your Full name, Bank name, BSB details and Account number.
Numbers: There are vacancies available.
Closing date for bookings: The Club needs to know final numbers and any dietary requirements by Thursday 21 October.
MENU: Entrée (alternate drop) Grilled garlic and chive prawn stir-fry OR Baked goats’ cheese and sun-dried tomato field mushrooms with truffle cream reduction
Main (alternate drop) 3 bone rosemary and garlic lamb cutlets Served with potato, baby peas, mash, red wine jus’ and roasted baby beets OR Grilled baby capper and kaffir lime swordfish Served with chilli and coriander potato and dutch carrots.

Members may be aware that several sites within Breakfast Point (IGA, Olive Kitchen Cafe, Upper Crust Boulangerie and Breakfast Point Pharmacy) have been listed as potential COVID-19 exposure sites. You may have already received notices from your Strata Managers, the Community Facebook page or other multiple sources.
The Services NSW App on your phones has a direct link to COVID-19 Resources where you can enter your Postcode and see a list of nearby exposure sites with the date and times. Alternatively this link will take you to the NSW Health list of exposure sites. You can click on the little arrows at the top of the column to sort the table into alphabetical order as the default is date order.

Come and enjoy the company of fellow members and lunch overlooking the harbour at The Woolwich Pier Hotel. They have a senior’s lunch special – Grilled Dory, chips, salad & a glass of wine or beer or, if preferred, order off the menu.

How to get there: Meet at Cabarita wharf to catch 10.52am Rivercat to Cockatoo Island to connect with 11.19am ferry to Woolwich wharf arriving at 11.24. A 12 minute walk (754m) slightly uphill to the Hotel but downhill on the way home! .
Return ferry from Woolwich wharf to Cockatoo Island leave on the hour @ 2.09; 3.09pm.
Alternatively you can drive yourself to the hotel.
