Woolloomooloo to Pyrmont Walk of Interest – 10 May 2023

Under clear blue skies, thirteen intrepid Probians set off on another Walk of Interest from Woolloomooloo to Pyrmont.

We met at the Terrace on Domain Café for the obligatory coffee to fuel up, before walking down to the Finger Wharves at Woolloomooloo to view the temporary exhibition of sculptures along the foreshore.

We continued along to Mrs Macquarie’s point, through the Botanic Gardens and on to the forecourt of the Opera House, enjoying the sparkling harbour to our right.  Our trail took us around Circular Quay and past the Overseas Passenger Terminal, following Hickson Road to Barangaroo.  Here we returned to the foreshore and the Wulugi Walk, all the way to King Street Wharf and lunch at Bungalow 8.

The 7 km walk took us around 2 hours, allowing people to take breaks and walk at their own comfortable pace. Nearly everyone opted to take the Rivercat home after lunch, but three of us stalwarts walked an extra kilometre or so over the Pyrmont Bridge to the Star Light Rail station.
