Fourteen members of the Dining Out group met on Wednesday night 22 March at Bamiyan, Five Dock for an Afghani feast. The cuisine is influenced by Afghanistan’s neighbours with curries and breads reminiscent of India and delicately spiced meat skewers and rice jewelled with nuts, often found in the Middle East. A very tasty combination.
The restaurant was formerly in First Avenue but is now situated in a modern spacious restaurant overlooking Great North Road. Very comfortable for a group dinner, without too much noise bouncing around.
