Essentially Barrington Tour – Monday 8 to 12 May 2023 – Closed

Expressions of interest are now being sought to join the Essentially Barrington tour.

A 5 day, 4 night tour based in Gloucester commencing Monday 8 May 2023 and led by local resident Lindy Trudgeon.

Cost:  $975.00 per person double room
$995.00 per person twin room
$1,155.00 single room

( If fuel prices increase, cost may change).

The tour is inclusive of:

  • motel accommodation x 4 nights
  • cooked breakfast x 4
  • morning tea x 4
  • lunches x 4
  • dinner and entertainment x 4
  • Guide and venues

All other costs at own expense.

Itinerary:

Day 1
Coach will collect from Gloucester train station, visit Asha Farm, light lunch, visit a local vineyard, book into motel.

Day 2
Barrington Tops, picnic lunch, motel, free time 3pm.

Day 3
Visit Forster, Smiths Lake, Topi, Great Lakes Paddock for lunch, motel 4pm.

Day 4
Goldmine tour, morning tea, museum, motel, Hillview herb farm tour.  A talk on bees and honey, spinning demonstration and a talk on alpacas.

Day 5
Check out of motel, morning tea and Country Women’s Association talk. Coach to train station to catch the 10.30 am return train to Strathfield.

Getting there:

Book the Train
Leaving Strathfield Station at approximately 7.10 am, arriving at Gloucester Station at approximately 11.37 am (you will need to check specific time when booking).

Organising a Bridj bus could be useful.

Travel by Car
The trip is about 3 and half hours.   The pick up point by the coach is Gloucester train station at 11.37 am. You will need to be at Gloucester train station when the train arrives as the coach is collecting everyone from the station to start the day’s adventures.

Your car can be left at the motel, however check in is not available until later in the day.
