The tour at Old Government House has been postponed until Thursday 6 October 2022 due to the announcement of a public holiday on 22 September 2022.
Old Government House Curator, Anna Ridley will take us on a tour of the exhibition which includes:
- furniture made by Laurence Butler and Alexander Hart
- clocks by James Oatley
- art by Joseph Backler and Joseph Lycett
- pottery by John Moreton and Jonathan Leak
- textiles made at the Parramatta Female Factory
When: Thursday 6 October 2022
Where: Old Government House, Parramatta Park
Time: The tour commences at 2:00 pm lasting 45 minutes.

We will have lunch at Lachlan’s Restaurant beforehand. The Cafe menu has a range of light meals and snacks. Lunch is booked for 12:30.
Getting There: Catch the Rivercat to Parramatta, then the free shuttle bus 900 from the wharf to Bank West Stadium in O’Connell Street. Walk back to the park gates opposite George Street.
Alternatively, if driving, there is free, timed parking within Parramatta Park (2-hour limit). As we will be there for at least 2.5 hours, you will need to move your car at some point.

Note: The exhibition is on the first floor at Old Government House. You must be able to manage a flight of stairs. The tour, which lasts 45-60 minutes, involves standing and walking – there are no seats within the exhibition space.
