Travel Chat – Wednesday 13 April 2022

Now we can travel but travelling overseas might be a bit daunting for many.  So we will look at a destination closer to home –Sydney. 

We will be a tourist in Sydney and look at the top hundred or more things to do in Sydney or within a one day drive.  Share your experiences of Sydney with your fellow travellers or learn something new.

We will be looking in depth at some interesting venues on the other side of the Blue Mountains such as:

1. Little Hartley and the Gory’u Japanese Gardens.
2. Mayfield Gardens –the result of an investment banker family inspired by the great gardens of Europe.
3. Wolgan Valley – why the Emirates set up an exclusive five star resort in the Wolgan Valley.  We’ll hear about the “ghost town” history of Newnes which is located inside the valley and how you can experience the wilderness attractions without having to pay the $3000 per night tariff.

So come along to Travel Chat which is held on Wednesday 13 April in the Admin Building from 11:00 am.
