We may have just shivered through the coldest June day since 1984 but that doesn’t mean your Probus friends have not been planning for the arrival of Spring!
Helen O’Neill has been putting together an excellent three day/two night outing to the beautiful Shoalhaven region of NSW. Your accommodation venue will be the outstanding Coolangatta Estate. The final itinerary and costings have yet to be finalised but the outline is provided below.
DATE: Departing Tuesday 14th September and Returning Thursday 16th September.
TRANSPORT: Bus, leaving Breakfast Point at 8am Tuesday 14th September.
DAY 1: Morning Tea at Bowral; Lunch at Robertson; Arthur Boyd Gallery Tour in Bundanoon; Arrive Coolangatta Estate at approximately 4pm; Dinner venue yet to be decided.
DAY 2: Tour of the picturesque village of Berry, then meander through other townships of the Shoalhaven, many of which were effected by the 2019/2020 bushfires. We will be back at Coolangatta Estate in time to explore the most awarded South Coast Winery. Dinner at Gerroa Fishermans Club.
DAY 3: Breakfast in Kiama then off to The Blowhole (hope the surf is up!); Nan Tien Buddhist Temple in Woolongong for a tour and some relaxing Tai Chi; Lunch at The Scarborough Hotel on Lawrence Hargrave Drive; Home to Breakfast Point at approximately 4:30pm.
- Two nights Coolangatta Estate $340 per room for two nights.
- Breakfast Coolangatta $10 continental provided by the Estate (optional) not included.
- Entrance fees Arthur Boyd $15.00. Buddhist Temple with Tai Chi $10.00 per person.
- All food and drink are at own expense. Two breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
- Single all up $490.
- Double all up $580 .
This is an approximate cost and there may be a slight increase or decrease on the bus hire depending on numbers who wish to join the outing.
