NEWSFLASH # 4 – 1 June 2020

Message from the President

Effective 1 June following notice from the Breakfast Point Country Club, the Management Committee has agreed for the Probus Tennis group to recommence subject to strict adherence to the rules set down by the BPCC and CA.

Effective 3 June (excluding Public Holiday 8 June 2020)

The Bayview Bar & Dining area will resume with limited Café service however,

  • No group bookings exceeding 10 person & all group bookings must be made in advance and approved by Club Management
  • No ‘regular’ Special Interest Groups (Probus Cards / Knitting or Rotary groups) will be accepted during this time.

Please be sure to make yourself aware of the BPCC requirements noted below.

 Continue to practise good responsible hygiene by using hand sanitiser / washing hands prior to and after the activity.

The Management Committee will progressively review restrictions on the meeting of our other groups as and when the various venues become available in line with Government recommendations.

Breakfast Point Club Management (email – 29 May 2020):

Commencing Monday 1 June 2020 (7 days a week):

  • Tennis court bookings will now be available for doubles.
  • For regular group bookings of up to 10 players (eg Social Tennis / Probus Tennis / Men’s Shed) please contact reception to reinstate.
  • Booking times will continue to be between; 9am-3pm at this stage, with a maximum of a 2hour time slot.
  • The Ground Floor toilets (located behind reception) will be available.
  • To book please call reception between; 9am – 3pm on 87656900.
  • Member fobs will be reactivated between the hours of 8:45am – 2:30pm 7 days a week.

 Upon arrival at the Club

  • All players must proceed to Club Reception. The front entry door to the Club will be open to minimise contact.
  • Upon arrival at Reception all players must apply hand sanitiser.
  • All players must sign in at Reception, filling in the booking sheet with their name & mobile number.
  • Club Staff will advise what court you have been allocated to.
  • All gates to the tennis courts will be open to minimise contact on gate keypads and will remain open until 3pm.

Commencing Wednesday 3 June – Sunday 7 June 2020;

  • The Bayview Bar & Dining area will resume with limited Café service.
  • Hours of operation will be 10am – 2pm limited catering only; sandwiches, wraps & bakery items (for this week).
  • Our dining area has been reconfigured to accommodate a maximum of 50 people (external balconies & lounge areas will be out of bounds).
  • Social distancing must be observed by all members & their guests at all times, this capacity will not be exceeded under any circumstances.
  • Contactless payments will only be accepted (no cash transactions).
  • No group bookings exceeding 10 person & all group bookings must be made in advance and approved by Club Management
  • No ‘regular’ Special Interest Groups (Probus Cards / Knitting or Rotary groups) will be accepted during this time.
  • The Club will be closed on Monday 8 June 2020 (Public Holiday).
  • The Clubs kitchen operations will resume from Wednesday 10/06/20, serving a limited selection of cooked meals between;
    10am – 2pm (7 days a week)

Important Information:

We ask all members & their guests to practice and observe personal hygiene etiquette and wash their hands thoroughly, as well as utilising the hand sanitiser stations located within the Club.

Members are encouraged to use the COVIDSafe app to assist with contact tracing.

Staff, Club Members and their guests who are unwell will be excluded from entering the Club, even if they only have mild symptoms. Your Club chooses to utilise a digital temperature device for this purpose.
