Message from the President
When writing about our Probus Club, I am always reminded of how strong and proactive we are, the wonderful Friendships made, great Fellowship enjoyed and the Fun we have.
Our Club is one of strong, resilient people and we will meet current challenges which will be around for some time. Our focus will be to keep in touch with members, friends, neighbours and families.
This Newflash # 2 is an update on the Committee’s recommendations and our Club’s initiatives.
The committee’s recommendation is that we should remain in the safety of our home as much as possible AND practise ‘social distancing’. Also, the Breakfast Point Country Club is now closed indefinitely.
First Friday of every month a newsletter will be emailed to members to keep you involved in our ‘happenings’ and revisiting some of our past events and outings.
We will look for contributions from you such as – photos, a few lines of various items of interest, quirky sayings or happenings so we can engage the many and varied interests of our members and introduce you to some new and varied interests or useful tips.
For those feeling isolated and/or unable to get out of the home, or you know members who are alone and need assistance, please contact Helen O’Neill, Member Support. Helen can assist in many ways.
Finally, ‘share and care’ wherever possible. There are many ways we may be able to help one another – see ‘5 ways to share your kindness in your community’.
As President, I am always available, so please do not hesitate to contact me via email.
Keep safe and well and look after each other.
